If you’re a fan of singer-songwriters like John Mayer or Eric Hutchinson, you might like to check out music by the talented young Caleb McGinn.

His songs can be sincere and succinct – like his folksy “Roots Go Deep,” a satisfying arrangement that showcases McGinn on guitar with great piano backup, or his brighter, more pop-oriented “Bigger Picture” that uplifts, inspires and energizes.

Although he’s only been playing music for ten years and writing songs for 5, he’s got boatloads of talent and seems destined for long-term success.  From Kansas, McGinn took first place at the 2012 International Acoustic Music Awards and has one EP – “Bigger Picture” –  and several singles available for purchase.

I spoke with McGinn by phone recently. “The heart of my message is helping people overcome their fears and limiting beliefs to become who they truly are,” he says.

McGinn, who plays a Taylor Acoustic guitar, says he’s hoping to record a new EP this summer or Fall. He’s also “planning a series of house concerts on the west coast.” For inquiries about booking a show, contact him here.
